Yoga therapy

Individual yoga therapy online

Just for you

A yoga therapy session blends mind-body psychology and yoga. The sessions are inclusive and intended to meet you, where you are right now, physically and mentally. There is no judgment. Whoever you are, and whatever you are dealing with, you will receive unconditional positive regard. No prior yoga experience is needed.

Individual yoga therapy online

A therapeutic modality

Combing movement and breath-work with verbal coaching, you will become deeply connected to your body. A journey inwards if you like. In this embodied state, mental and emotional processing is able to happen. Throughout the session, you will be coached to notice what’s happening in your body. You will notice sensations, thoughts, feelings, maybe emotions, and memories will arise. It’s like your body is talking to you and you’re learning how to listen.

Yoga therapy is for you if…

  • Yoga therapy is not a cure but can provide relief for sufferers with chronic conditions.

  • Sometimes there’s no other way to describe it. You feel stuck. And it’s hard to know what’s holding you back. Yoga therapy can help you reconcile past events and traumas and allow you to move forward.

  • Yoga therapy has proven to be an effective tool to manage depression and anxiety.

  • Yoga, breath work and meditation are tools which can be used to manage stress.

  • Change can be scary and unsettling. Yogic practices can support you through times of fear and uncertainty. Embodied awareness will let you gain the insight you need to navigate these changes.

  • A Phoenix Rising yoga therapy session uses the principle of present-centered, embodied awareness. In other words, you use your body to connect inwards.

  • An embodied approach gives you a new lens through which you can examine the same problems and issues. And can allow for a shift in perspective and ultimately lead to change.
