Do I need to have yoga experience?

No, you don’t need to have done any yoga before. Anyone can have a yoga therapy session. Each session is client-centered. I tailor each session to meet your physical and emotional needs. I like to think of the yoga poses as shapes and then get the shape to fit the body rather than making the body fit the shape.

How can I prepare for a yoga therapy session?

Wear comfortable clothing that you can move about in. During a session you might stretch out or roll into a ball; lie down on your front or back; or maybe we will do the entire session in a chair. It will depend on you. But if you feel you are want movement don’t let your clothing hold you back.

Try and hydrate. Don’t eat anything super heavy beforehand.

What set up do I need for an Zoom online session?

Be somewhere private, where you won’t be disturbed. You may want to be moving and lying down. A yoga mat is useful, but a rug or blanket will work too.

If you have yoga props, great, have them to hand. For support, pillows and blankets or towels are useful. A yoga strap or dressing gown cord is handy too.

What set up do I need for Zoom?

A laptop or i-pad or a phone with the Zoom app installed. I will need to see and hear. Try a little practice before our first session to make sure you know where to place your device.

Are all the sessions online?

No. I occasionally do sessions in Vermont in person. If you are interested in having an in person session please get in touch.
